In life, we all have that one profession that we know we should go into for the sole purpose that the job market is promising and it’s financially beneficial for your future. For me, that was sports medicine and athletic training, a career path I knew would pay well if I pursued my graduate degree but knew my heart was completely sold on.
Most of us also have that career path that we end up taking. It’s something that we thoroughly enjoy doing and immerse ourselves fully into, in order to strive for our personal best. For me, that’s broadcasting. I love talking, I enjoy being around people, forming new relationships, and telling peoples’ stories.
Then there something that you’ve always wanted to do but you question how you would possibly make a living out of it. You know what I’m talking about, I guarantee you have something in your life that you’ve always wanted to do but you’re not completely sure if you could make enough money to support yourself doing it. For me, that’s creating stuff; crafting, painting, photography. A reason why this shirt, a Christmas present from my sister is so fitting, physically and figuratively, to my life.
#OOTD Sunday, December 27th:
- Grey t-shirt with, “I just want to drink coffee, create stuff, and sleep,” in black font is from a website called thuglifeshirts.com. I’ve clearly already addressed the fact that I love the quote on the shirt, so that’s the first point. In addition to that, it’s a loose fit and SUPER soft-a must have item for a lazy day. They have MANY more shirts and quotes on their site, check them out!
- Sperry Saltwater Duck Boots ($120). These were a Christmas present from my grandma this year, something I’ve wanted desperately for a few years now. Honestly, as a woman living in the Midwest, putting up with winter in Wisconsin, these boots (or ones similar) are essential. They keep your feet warm and are extremely comfortable, providing ample arch support while your trudging through the snow. You can start wearing them as soon as the fall kicks in pairing them with skinny jeans or leggings and socks with an over-sized sweater. Plus, they’re cute and stylish…so why not invest in a pair? Or add it to your Christmas/Birthday list like I did.
- Cozy boot socks. I couldn’t tell you where these are from exactly because Santa left them in my stocking a few days ago. However, I can tell you that they have an adorable winter print on them, are extremely soft, and warm; all essentials for the cold months.
- Dark skinny jeans are RanCan Denim from TJ Maxx purchased a few months ago ($19.99). They’re super stretchy and soft-I regret not buying two pairs right away! For years I was obsessed with only Hollister jeans and then it was all about American Eagle jeans, but when I finally gave up the over-priced designer jeans, I found ones that were MUCH more comfortable and affordable.
